Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido visited baby Musa, a 2 year old boy who is a victim of domestic abuse in the hospital. The woman, baby Musa's step mother who has now been arrested attacked the little boy, cut his tongue, broke his arms and legs, damaged his right eye and then castrated him with a blade.

According to reports, the incident happened in Gulu in Rimin Gado LGA of Kano Stats. His father’s second wife allegedly did this to him out of jealousy. The boy’s mother and his father are separated so he stays with his stepmother, who allegedly broke his two arms, legs, caught his tongue, his testicles and his right eye. The boy is currently being treated at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.
