A businesswoman, Ms Rita Nnenna Anoh of Veroz Group, has adopted Miss Uzoamaka Chukwu.

The lawmaker representing Ohaozara/Onicha/Ivo in the House of Representatives Linus Okorie said the woman had also given the girl full scholarship.

Linus Okorie was among those who brought Uzoamaka's plight to national attention.

In a post on his facebook page, the lawmaker said the businesswoman had registered Uzoamaka for medical assessment and clinical therapy, after taking her on a shopping spree, efforts to register her in a decent school ahead of the new academic calendar.

Arraignment of the suspects is scheduled to take place at the Okposi chief magistrate court in Ohaozara LGA of Ebonyi state.

Suspects are;

The last three suspects are serving policemen who were yesterday dismissed from service following the decision of an in-house orderly room trial by the state police command.

According to the lawmaker, with the arraignment of the suspects, all eyes will now be on the governor of the state, Engr. David Umahi Nweze, who a few days ago promised "to act" on whether or not to suspend the Coordinator from office only after the police may have concluded their investigations into the matter.
