The 4th edition of the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards held today
The awards ceremony, which kicked off with nominees’ cocktail party at Eko Hotel on Friday evening, is playing host to key industry professionals drawn from the continent’s booming and emerging markets.

Nigerian stars Rita Dominic, Funke Akindele, Falz, Mike Ezuronye, Genevieve Nnaji, Ramsey Nuoah, Alex Ekubo, Ik Ogbonna, John Okafor, Nkiru Sylvanus as well as Ghana’s Van Vicker, John Dumelo and Fred Nuamah, Founder of the Ghana Movie Awards and a host of other celebrities attended the event, which saw an electrifying live band performance.
Still one of Africa’s biggest nights in movies, the AMVCA acknowledges the contribution made by Pan African filmmakers, actors and technicians to the success of the continent’s film & television industries.
Winners at tonight’s event will receive the prestigious AMVCA trophy.
