The corpse has reportedly been deposited in the mortuary of a near by hospital.
MAN RAPED AND MURDERED 1 YEAR OLD GIRL IN NORTH AMERICA
An Indiana man appeared in a state court on Monday on charges he raped and murdered a one-year-old girl. The man has allegedly confessed to a relative that he committed the crimes.
Kyle Parker, 22, reportedly confessed to his stepfather that he raped and then smothered one-year-old Shaylyn Ammerman, according to an Indianapolis Star report by Madeline Buckley. The uncle told police he had seen his step-son walking away from the home in the middle of the night. Other friends reportedly told police Parker was attracted to young girls.
An autopsy performed on the baby revealed a “sustained sexual assault,” the Star reported. The medical examiner said it was the “worst case of sexual trauma she had seen in her career,” according to the affidavit.
Bond was denied to Parker who was ordered to remain in jail. He has requested a public defender, citing his inability to work. His last job was reported to be at a nursing and rehab center in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Parker was arrested last Thursday night after police found the body of the missing child. She went missing from her grandparents’ home. Parker is reported to be a friend of the family and had been at their home the night Shaylyn disappeared. He had been drinking with the grown sons of the grandmother, Tamera Morgan.
Morgan said she had checked on the baby throughout the night after putting her to bed at about 8:30 p.m. The last time she saw the child was about 1:30 a.m. When she awoke the next morning, the baby was gone.
A search was conducted for two days for the missing baby. Her lifeless and abused body was found in a remote area near Gosport, Indiana, police said.
ISIS CRUCIFIES CATHOLIC PRIEST ON GOOD FRIDAY
The militant group Islamic State (ISIS) continued its persecution of Christian groups by allegedly crucifying a Catholic priest on Good Friday, the Washington Times reports.
The victim was reportedly Rev. Fr. Thomas Uzhunnalil, a Salesian priest, who was kidnapped in Yemen earlier this month during a raid on a Catholic nursing home run by Mother Teresa’s organization Missionaries of Charity.
Father Uzhunnalil, a native of India, was captured on March 4, in a raid which also killed 16 Christian nuns and nurses. His alleged death by the same method the Romans used to kill Jesus—an event marked by Christians around the world on Good Friday—was reportedly confirmed at the Easter Vigil Mass by Cardinal Christoph Schonborn of Vienna, although the Cardinal's claim has yet to be independently verified. The Indian government had received no further information regarding the priest's fate on Monday evening.
These reports comes as ISIS’s crackdown on groups not affiliated with its radical brand of Salafism has helped fuel a huge drop in Iraq’s Christian population.
Less than 30 years ago, Iraq’s official census counted 1.4 million Christians residing in the country; however, since then figures have decreased radically, Al Jazeera reports.
The Iraqi civil war, between 2005 and 2007, forced thousands of Iraqi Christians to flee to nearby Syria, while others settled in Lebanon and Jordan. After the start of Syria’s Civil War in 2011, some Christian refugees returned to Iraq, however as ISIS spread across Syria and Iraq, figures have fallen once again.
According to the Hammurabi Human Rights Organization, an Iraqi research think tank, said the number of Christians in Iraq had dropped to fewer than 400,000 as of 2015.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT PALM SUNDAY
Today is Palm Sunday, the day that marks the final week of Lent which is called 'Holy Week'. It is a time of reflection and preparation for Good Friday and Easter, coming up in just one week. During the holy week, practices like distributing alms, fasting, charity works and attending mass occur. The passion and intensity of this week depends on the believer. In my opinion, the resurrection is the most beautiful time.
Palm Sunday commemorates the entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, where he rode into town on a donkey as crowds of people gleefully greeted him and spread out palm branches in his path.
At many Christian Palm Sunday church services, common traditions include processions with palm branches, the blessing of palms and the construction of small palm crosses. While the story of Palm Sunday is told in all four gospels in the Bible, Matthew 21 is the one read at most church services.
Here is a passage that is often read during Palm Sunday service: “Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, tell him that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away … The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. They brought the donkey and the colt, placed their cloaks on them, and Jesus sat on them.”
Palm Sunday is significant because it represents the beginning of Holy Week, part of the Christian calendar that focuses on Jesus’ last days before he was crucified. The holiday is celebrated by almost all Christian denominations.
“A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, ‘Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!’ When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, ‘Who is this?’ The crowds answered, ‘This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee,’” reads Matthew 21:1-3, 6-11.

59,000 CANDIDATES TO RETAKE EXAMINATION - JAMB
It was gathered that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board on Friday said the board would reschedule examination for candidates who missed the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination because of relocation of centres by the board.
The board said it relocated 59,000 candidates in 15 states because of problems in some of the centres.
It also said candidates who had system failure during the examination would retake it, if the board finds their complaint to be genuine.
The Registrar of the board, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, who said this at a press conference in Abuja, added that the new development does not affect candidates who missed the examination deliberately or failed in the examination.
Ojerinde said among the 1,546,633 candidates that sat for the 2016 UTME, 145,704 had issues of multiple results, which have been resolved by the board.
Prof. Ojerinde added that 23,577 candidates were absent on the day of the examination.
“We relocated candidates where the board had challenges. The board is looking at some of the issues raised during the examination, but most of the excuses raised by candidates are flimsy,” he said.
“We relocated about 59, 000 candidates due to the problems in various centres which vary from town to town. There are about 59,000 of them spread across 15 states of the federation.
“Those that were relocated never suffered any setback or inconvenience. For all these two sets of people, I want to apologise sincerely for what happened to them, but we are going to put on a redress for those whose relocation affected them in missing their examination.
“Let me use this opportunity to offer explanation on the issue of the much-publicized two results. The process of our marking involves transformation and other qualitative programming. In the process of these configurations, we had a little challenge which we quickly corrected and ensured that this never happened in subsequent results".
This challenge was only associated with the candidates that sat for this examination on Saturday, 27, and some candidates of Monday, 29 February, 2016.”
Prof. Ojerinde said the board found out that some of the over 500 centres used for the CBT was compromised by the operators.
He said that one of its centres in Uromi, Edo State was invaded by mercenaries during the examination.
He blamed the education consultants for mobilizing candidates to protest against the conduct of the examination by the board, adding that the quality of the centres used for UTME would not be compromised.
He said: “In our quest to have adequate and effective centres for the exercise, we approved over 500 centres, but unfortunately, some of the centre operators were not sincere in proving us with the true position of their facilities.
“They hired equipment during the period of accreditation and other necessary apparatus and on the examination day, they were found wanting. This led to relocation or rescheduling of candidates from some of them to more suitable centres.”
Ojerinde said Nigeria was ready to take the CBT examination, adding that reverting to the PPT as directed by the House of Representatives would amount to lack of progress.
According to him, the CBT would be improved upon.
He said: “Even the physically challenged are taking the CBT examination. One of the blind candidates scored 286, so why should others complain?
“Going back to the Paper and Pencil Test will amount to taking one step forward and two steps backwards.”

HOW MY CAR WAS BURGLED OVERNIGHT AT BANJO STREET, SURULERE LAGOS - OYB EDITOR (PHOTOS)
Read how it happened below and see photos.
In her words;
"I got back from work yesterday and parked my car on the street opposite my house where some of my neighbours also park theirs because it's more spacious. I woke up this morning to go to work and i saw that my back window had been vandalized, i was shocked, i called out to my sister who was also perplexed at the sight of the broken window.
I had a disguise bag in my boot which i no longer use ( i started keeping the bag in my car as disguise when i was robbed in traffic at CMS sometime last year) and there was also a black folder which contained some Church booklet in my boot, my window has a tinted glass, no way anyone would see the inside of my boot without looking very closely at the window.
The bag was taken and the folder was opened when i found it in the boot with the pamphlet poured out. It is obvious the burglar(s) thought the folder was a laptop or some kind of device and that the bag contained something meaningful, what i had in the bag were nylons and the bowl i wanted to use to buy food at Ghana high this morning...lol"
See more photos below;
Photo taken from inside the boot
Photo taken from outside
Broken glass on the carpet
The folder...i mean the supposed laptop
"With the assistance of my Sister and those around i used nylon to cover up the window, it definitely wasn't going to stop me from driving to work".
We thank God it was not worse than this.
VICTIM'S FAMILY SUE FG OVER OJUELEGBA TRAILER ACCIDENT
If you remember the trailer that fell off Ojuelegba bridge late last year precisely September 2, 2015 you will recall that three lives were lost in the black car that was crushed under the container that was believed to be carrying bags of cement. The driver of the white car miraculously survived.
The unlatched 40 feet container had disengaged from the trailer and fallen on some vehicles moving on the road.
The families of those killed by the trailer have filed a suit against the Federal Government and others.
The families of the victims have through their lawyer, Mr. Norrison Quakers (SAN), approached the Federal High Court seeking damages in the sum of N10bn.
The applicants – Usman Sulaiman, Ismaila Maikkankan, Umar Wahab and Umaru Umaru – sued for themselves and on behalf of the families of Abubakar Sule, Umaru Sulaiman and Kamilu Umaru, who died in the accident.
Joined as respondents in the suit are the Lagos State Government, its Attorney-General, the Lagos State Metropolitan Area Transport Authority and the Lagos Public Works Corporation.
The other respondents are Motor Vehicle Administration Agency, the Federal Government, Attorney-General of the Federation, Federal Ministry of Works, Federal Road Maintenance Agency and the Federal Road Safety Corps.
The court has granted the applicants the leave to serve the court papers on the defendants that were outside the jurisdiction.
The applicants are urging the court to declare that the respondents failed in their lawful duty of installing, maintaining and enforcing adequate safeguards to ensure the right to life, personal and human dignity, good health and family harmony.
They are also seeking a declaration that “the circumstances of the fatal accident resulting in the deceased persons’ death were such that the respondents’ negligence can be presumed under the doctrine of res ipsa loquitur.”
They argued that the respondents had breached the fundamental rights of the victims enshrined in the Constitution and the African Charter on Human and Peoples Rights.

JAILED NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS, IBINABO FIBERESIMA SEEKS BAIL ON HEALTH GROUNDS
Embattled ex-beauty queen, Ibinabo Fiberesima, has urged the Supreme Court to set aside the judgment of the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal, which last Friday affirmed the five years’ imprisonment imposed on her by a Lagos State High Court.
The actress is also asking the Court of Appeal to release her on bail pending when the Supreme Court would hear and determine her appeal against the appellate court’s judgment.
In a six-paragraph affidavit of urgency filed in support of her bail application before the Court of Appeal, one Victor Eden said Fiberesima had just undergone a surgery for breast cancer and was still under the watch of her doctors.
Eden said, “Her (Fiberesima) wound has not fully healed and as such she is afraid that her continued stay in the prison may endanger her life as she will not have access to special medical attention.
“It will be in the interest of justice and for her health and safety for the appellant to be admitted to bail pending the hearing and determination of the appellant’s appeal before the Supreme Court.”
But the bail application suffered a setback on Thursday as the Court of Appeal adjudged it as incompetent.
Fiberesima’s lawyer, Nnaemeka Amaechina, had told the appellate court panel comprising Justices U.I. Ndukwe-Anyanwu, Samuel Oseji and Tijani Abubakar that he had served the bail application on the Lagos State Government, which is the respondent in the appeal.
But Justice Ndukwe-Anyanwu, who led the panel, observed that copies of the court judgments leading to Fiberesima’s conviction and sentence were not attached to the bail application.
The judge said failure to attach the judgments had rendered the application incompetent, adding that the options left to the court in the circumstance were to either strike out the bail application or adjourn for the appellant to do the needful.
Amaechina opted for an adjournment to enable him to “do the needful”.
The panel consequently adjourned till April 7 to hear the application.
SHOCKING: MOTHER STRANGLES BABY AFTER BIRTH AND THROWS HER INSIDE THE PIT LATRINE (VIDEO)
As the news spread that a woman strangled her newly born baby yesterday, a few minutes after giving birth, it shocked everyone who heard the gory story. How could a woman do this to a baby she carried in her womb for 9 months and went through labour to give birth to this baby?
According to authorities, the woman committed the act with the help of a neighbour in Ndabibi, Kenya.
It was gathered that the two planned and committed the crime after the woman, who is a mother of two, reportedly said she was not ready to raise a third child.
The sad incident was confirmed by the Naivasha sub-county assistant Commissioner John Opondo who said the two women had since been arrested and locked at Kongoni Police Station as at the time this report was filed.
Opondo described the act as wicked and disturbing as he stated that the body of the minor had since been collected from the latrine and taken to the local mortuary. Opondo said the minor was strangled using a piece of cloth. He added the suspects claimed the baby died during the birth process.
“They claim that they were using a piece of cloth to pull out the minor, who had gotten stuck during birth, when the incident occurred,” he said.
But Opondo said the story from the two suspects did not add up, noting that the main suspect had in the past complained that she was uncomfortable with the pregnancy and wanted to get rid of it.
Neigbours tried in futility to save the baby after they demolished the toilet block and dug the floor with a shovel, eventually the baby was retrieved from the pit latrine but was dead before help could come.
Watch the shocking video below:
May the sou of the baby rest in peace. Amen

JUSTICE AT LAST! SISTER OF LATE DR GIWA WHO WAS KILLED IN AN ACCIDENT CAUSED BY IBINABO WRITES
Biola Giwa-Adeyemi is late Dr Giwa's sister, same Doctor who was killed by Ibinabo Fiberesima's alleged reckless and endangered driving. She wanted to shed more light on the case between Ibinabo and the State.
Read what she wrote below;
First of all, the case was between Lagos state Government Vs Ibinabo Febresima but not Giwa Vs Ibinabo Febresima. On this faithful day of Feb 26th 2006 along the Lekki Epe Express way, my late brother Dr Giwa was driving with his brother and another family friend in his car coming from a meeting in Ajah, they were held up in a traffic around the evening time, when this tragic accident happened.
Ibinabo was driving towards Lekki while the late Dr Giwa was coming from the other direction facing towards Island, just by shop-rite, when ibinabo's jeep flipped and lost control from her lane jumped over the culvert or pavement that demarcate the road from the on coming vehicle. The speed that skipped and flipped a jeep over the road demarcation will be considered "Reckless and Endangerment" because the VIO dept checked the jeep brakes, the engine and all the mechanical and electrical of the jeep but the result shows nothing wrong with the jeep and confirm that the accident as due to "OVER SPEEDING" in which the result was on record.
After the accident, Ibinabo left the scene of the accident without checking for any survivors, she took the license plate and registration out of the car and fled from the scene, that was considered "HIT AND RUN". The people at the scene of the accident recognized her as Ibinabo Febresima, and stated she was drunk."Driving Under Influence" of whatever she had. The State Department of Transportation has to use the VIN number to locate the Owner of the jeep, in which the owner was Daniel Wilson. That was my very first time of hearing the name of Ibinabo Febresima. The Doctor died at the scene of the accident because the jeep was on top of the Honda accord driven by him and they couldn't save him on time because of the seat belt and the weight of the jeep, the brother and the other family friend in that car had survived. Did she know the state of mind and the emotional instability of the people involved in that accident up till now, Ibinabo has never been in a Comma.
After all the evidences against her, with the result of the VIO by the State department of Transportation, The DPP office took over and charged her to court and she hired Festus Kiamo in which after reviewing the case he withdrew by saying he cannot represent her because it's a bad case.
Doctor Giwa has a living mother for goodness sake, wife with 3 children's, Ibinabo deprived him from seeing his children graduate from university and getting married, also from being the one to bury his mother at her old age, "Whereas no one ever prayed that on the day of their children's success and happiness they should replaced them with someone else".
Ibinabo was never remorseful, they brought her to meet with me shortly after my brother's death in GRA Ikeja before my return back to the USA, but her only concern then was to drop the charges against her. I told her that it's not my family Vs her but the State Vs her, that where I come from in USA that we do not interfere with the justice system, that they should do their job and advise her to apologize publicly to the masses and to the family and throw herself to the mercy of the court. She said and l quote "I CAN'T DO THAT, BECAUSE IS GOING TO DAMAGE MY CAREER" what an ego, she cannot apologize publicly, I feel like kicking her ass. She's worried about her stupid career, What happened to the career of the Doctor, who happened to be a 'MEDICAL DIRECTOR AND THE HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL REHABILITATION MEDICINE AT GENERAL HOSPITAL LAGOS.
People say there is no justice in Nigeria, but it does once in awhile. The lower court magistrate O.A Isaac found her guilty with the option of 100,000.00 Naira, which is considered a judicial recklessness, 100k does not even buy an iPad, the life of someone does not worth more that 100k, so that people will take the liberty of committing crimes. Later Justice Deborah Oluwayemi of the High court find her guilty and overturn the option of fine and gave her 5 yrs in prison, she spent 3 weeks and came out on bail to go to Court of Appeal, however, how can a convicted person came out on bail, here in USA you will be in jail and they will transport you to and from each time you have an hearing. Finally Appeal court found her guilty and sentence her to 5 years imprisoned.
Let her face the wrath, it is said that you can run but can't hide, it's a law of Kama that catch up, This will serve as a deterrent to others. Who will believe after 10yrs she will still be slammed, The Family of the late Dr Giwa had moved on with our life's, She was forgiven, it was very difficult and painful, but God gave us especially his mother and children the fortitude to bear the loss.
On behalf of our families and friends, we really thank the Lagos State Government, The attorney general Mr Sasore, DPP Mrs Odutola and colleagues, Justice Deborah Oluwayemi, Justice Jamilu Yammama Tukur, Justice U.I Udukwe-Anyawu and Justice Tijani Abubakar and everyone for their support, no evil shall befall anyone, as you all go out and come in, may God's grace and protection abide with each and everyone. 'JUSTICE AT LAST' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUSTICE AT LAST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUSTICE IS FINALLY DONE !!!!!!!!!!!!.
"IBINABO HAS NEVER PAID A DIME TO ANY FAMILY MEMBER OF THE LATE DR GIWA AS INDICATED BY HER FRIEND'S, AND IF SHE DID PAY ANY FAMILY MEMBER, SHE NEEDS TO START MENTIONING NAMES NOW".

Almost a week ago, just before the Ooni of Ife got married to his new bride, Wuraola Zynab Otiti, an unknown Zainab wrote an open letter alleging that she was still married to her ex-husband amongst other things, but it was assumed by many it was just the rantings of a jealous frenemy.

[Zainab Lawani writes from Abuja]
Abuja sources close to the situation who pleaded anonymity said Elie is her husband whom she has kids with.
They allege that Wura milked Elie-an expatriate with Sageto, an Abuja based company dry financially, so much so that he is still trying to recover from the loss.
Elie allegedly kept giving her company money, and she made sure to corner major contracts from Sageto for her brothers and relatives.
It is said that the names of the Ooni’s girl friends were dropped and the oracle choose Wura even though he had known her for just a short period of time.
